MANY thanks to our Senators for resisting the so-called “Department of Government Efficiency” and supporting Social Security!
We’re glad our Oregon Senators are part of the resistance to the unconstitutional and self-serving actions of Donald Trump and the Republican party. We greatly appreciate Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley for confronting DOGE interference and illegal demands upon Social Security and Medicare.
What minimal amounts of waste and abuse there might be in the system are not due to incompetence in the department. The problems lie with unbridled greed and corruption by greedy power-grabbers like Elon Musk.
Far too much power has already been taken by Musk’s “Department of Government Efficiency.” There are legal efforts underway to stop this outrageous violation of constitutional principles, but we must also help Democrats win majorities in Congress in 2026, and take power AWAY from the GOP.
