The Signalgate Scandal
By now, I’m sure you heard about “Signalgate” – the extremely concerning mixup involving several high-profile members of the Trump Administration and the Editor-in-Chief of The Atlantic, who was mistakenly added to a private group chat where Defense Secretary Hegseth, VP Vance, and many others exchanged highly confidential information about their plans to bomb Yemen.
Military secrets are some of the most closely guarded pieces of information in our government. Leaked plans put both US soldiers and civilian lives at risk. Trump’s “merit-based” lackeys have now revealed to the entire world just how seriously they take their duty to protect those lives. Every day since, they have tried to tell us the information was not confidential, but we know better, and we won’t back down.
This level of incompetence, which never would have been revealed if not for the bravery of The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg, demands immediate action. We must not let this Administration gaslight us into accepting this potentially catastrophic type of misconduct as normal behavior.

  • The Signal chat disaster marks a dangerous and highly concerning threat to our national security, and highlights the obvious incompetence of this administration.
  • The White House can try to gaslight us all they want, but we know mistakes this big can’t be ignored or pushed aside.
